What a lot of people sometimes don't realize is that there are tons of DIY projects that you can do around the home with items that you already have! There are so many ways to repurpose items that you would normally throw away.
For example, many people burn candles. And when it gets to the bottom they usually just chuck the jar into the trash with out a second thought. After discovering this project I've noticed that more and more candles are coming in very pretty jars. The next candle I buy I will pay attention to the packaging it comes it.
This one may be more simple than my previous candle project.

Items needed.
One candle in jar w/ lid.
Butter knife.
Thats it. Done. The candle I used was a really awesome Candle that I bought on sale at bath and body works called Black Tie. It smells amazing. I burned it down as much as I can. Sorry I don't have a picture of how much wax I had left. I got a little over excited and just dove it.
After you burn it down you're going to want to put it in the freezer for a few hours at least. What this does is pull the wax from the glass a smidge so that you can get the wax out.
Then you're going to take a butter knife and CAREFULLY chip the wax out.
I know its a butter knife but if your as accident prone as me even a simple butter knife can turn into a weapon of doom!!
I saved my wax to put in my wax burner. Waste not want not!
After you get the wax out, clean the jar as best you can. Pull of any stickers and then shine it up really nice.
After its cleaned off. It should look something like this.
You can put anything you want in it. I put cotton balls in mine. I can't wait to get my next one I want to put Q-tips.
HICCUPS
I actually didn't mess this one up. I know. I'm just as shocked as you are!!
